At the IV International Theatre Festival "Academy" in Omsk Russian director Lev Dodin has presented the performance "Devilry and Love" by Friedrich Schiller. The artistic director of Moscow Provincial Theater Sergei Bezrukov has shown the performance "Diamond cuts diamond" based on the works of A.N. Ostrovsky – reports ITAR-TASS.

"Devilry and Love" staged by academic Maly Drama Theatre – Theatre of Europe from St. Petersburg – is undoubtedly the most anticipated performance by Omsk spectators from the rich playbill of the "Academy" – said Viktor Lapukhin, Minister of culture of Omsk region to ITAR-TASS.

Dodin performance in 2014 has won the National Theatre Award "Golden Mask" simultaneously in two nominations: "The best performance of large form" and "The best work of Art director" (Alexander Borovsky).

At the stage of Omsk musical theater Bezrukov’s play "Diamond cut diamond" was performed at the same time.

"Academy" takes place in Siberian city from June 16 to 29. In its playbill 14 performances of nine theaters from Russia and Europe are featured.

The festival organizers are: Ministry of culture of Russian Federation, the Government of Omsk region, Omsk State Drama Theatre.
